Faster Peeling and Skinning Methods

Vegetables retain more goodness and many taste better with skins, but thick skins of older ones should be removed.

Potatoes and Pumpkin skins can be easily peeled after boiling.

To remove flush from Avocado to be mashed or blended, just cut it in halves remove the seedand scoop out the flesh using a spoon.

Onions for chopping or slicing are quicker to peel if it is cut in halves first, trim off the top and bottom.

To peel Garlic quickly, press down on the clove with the flat blade of a large knife and peel will split and slip off easily.

To remove skins easily  from fruits and vegetables like peaches, tomatoes and small whole onions, pour enough boiling water to cover them then leave to stand for a minute or two.
